Skills I Learned While Working at Target

Some skills I developed and learned while working at Target:

1. Operating Machinery

While not required, I was allowed to learn how to operate some warehouse machinery such as the wave machine and a pallet jack. This was convenient and helped me complete my workload quickly. I think its a great skill to learn especially if you continue to work in areas that require using one of these machines.

2. Patience

Oh boy before I started working here my patience was awful. After working here, my time management and patience have improved immensely. I was able to complete my tasks on time while also adapting to changes in plans throughout the work day.

3. Becoming an early bird

My sleep schedule was BAD. I used to wake up in the afternoons and struggle to wake up before 9am. Now that I work pretty early in the morning, I naturally trained my body to be up at 5 am. Even when I am not working, I can sustain this lifestyle. I have been able to more productive with my day now that I am an early bird. Trust me waking up early is NOT for the weak!
