Visited 3 Bridal Shops & found my AD GOWN(S) ✨👰🏻‍

1️⃣ The Gown Warehouse

👍🏻 SA was really nice and allowed me to try on more gowns than the original number, I tried on a total of 8 in the end!

👍🏻 Really liked their cheongsums (even the one in red 😂) and evening gowns, other than the navy blue trumpet style one cos it was so hard to walk in

🤜🏻 The white gowns were more meh to me, there definitely isn’t any that wow-ed me. I only tried A-line there cos I initially wanted an A-line for white gown and mermaid for my 2nd piece (cheongsum/evening gown)

💲900/gown and 1600 for 2; $200 off same day sign up

2️⃣ Wedding Crafters

👍🏻 Very aesthetic studio and gowns were organized really clearly based on their styles, so its easier for you to pick them out

🤜🏻 Gowns and evening gowns were all okok to me, I didn’t hate them but I also didn’t love them (I had such high expectations of WC before coming tho 😕)

🤜🏻 A few of the gowns were so tight that I felt kinda uncomfortable wearing them. LOL I know its not their fault and it can be altered to fit, but it just somehow didn’t make me interested in those pieces anymore ykwim 😅

🤜🏻 They were rly strict on the 6 pieces limit, even though I tried so fast and was done with my 1h 45mins appt in only 1h 🥲

💲1290/gown and 2180 for 2; $200 off 2 gowns same day sign up and $50 off 2 gowns same week sign up

3️⃣ Vico Bridal

🤜🏻 Service wasn’t great at the start - SA didn’t bother to introduce the packages to us in detail or the different racks when we reached and just asked us to browse the catalog or pick the gowns ourselves

🤜🏻 The selection for mermaid cut was SO limited, maybe <15 pieces even? I would say 90% or more of the gowns there are all A-line/ballgowns/etc which I wasn’t as interested in and I honestly thought I would only be able to pick out 2 pieces I like and call it a day LOL

🤜🏻 They don’t have cheongsum at the moment (was told it will come in by EOY), and the evening gowns didn’t look as promising, so I didn’t try any

👍🏻 I reached way earlier than my appt time, they allowed me to start earlier (cos no other customer) and tried on more than the original 6 pieces just cos their next appt isn’t so soon

👍🏻 The service and communication got better after we switched to speaking Chinese cos the SA wasn’t very fluent in English 😅

👍🏻 SA recommended some gowns to me (since I didn’t even pick out that many pieces) and I took a chance to try them, one of which ended up being an A-line simple gown that I rly liked and KIV-ed!!

👍🏻 Out of the few limited mermaid gowns they have/I tried, I actually FINALLY found one that I was rly pleased with?? I rly like everything about it esp the back that I can forgo how its not a sweetheart neckline and how there’s a mesh in front 😂

I signed with Vico in the end cos it was the first shop my husband actually said an A-line gown looks nice on me, and I finally found a mermaid gown that I was satisfied with AND we were both rly pleasantly surprised by how the whole experience turned out LOL. It was the shop I had the lowest expectations in tbh since it isn’t as well-known as the other few.

We took some time to contemplate as I still had one more appt with TGC the following week (which I was rly looking forward to), but still decided to go ahead and sign cos the same day $300 off 2 gowns was too tempting!!

P/S: you get to go back for another round of selection again before AD (TGW and WC offers this too), so I’m gonna have a hard time deciding if I want to keep these 2 white gowns or swap one out for a cheongsum/evening gown…. 🥹
