Need a cheap date idea?! Go golfing with your loved ones!! My boyfriend has always been into playing golf and it’s a sport that I always put in the back of my head thinking that it is very expensive.

To my surprise, golf is actually a pretty accessible sport, with many public golf courses in Singapore where you can play at affordable prices. We had our golf session at the Punggol Golf Driving Range.

Golfers are not required to make prior bookings on the range, and are free to wheel their own clubs in whenever there’s space available.

Prices for free-and-easy sessions are pretty affordable. Using NETS-Cashcard or NETS-Flashpay Card directly at any ball dispenser.

SGD $8+ = 100 balls

SGD $12+ = 150 balls

SGD $17+= 200 balls

There are also golf clubs that are available for rent! However we had our own golf club (purchased 2nd hand from carousell). You can purchase affordable entry level golf clubs at Decathlon from $40.

Overall, I really enjoyed my session here and I am so glad that I get to try this sport out & finally understood why my boyfriend loves to play golf! If you are already running out of things to do in Singapore, try learning a new sport or take up a new hobby with your loved ones! They also provide golf lessons that are pretty affordable here!

Also, what I love about this place is, It is located opposite the Artbox-inspired Punggol Container Park! There are so many nice cafes/ food around the area so you don’t have to go hungry after playing!

After golf, we headed over to Happy Lok Lok for a light dinner. It is a decent place for you to get your Lok Lok craving satisfied so do give it a try if you’re looking for a good supper spot near punggol area!
