HOSTING TIPS

There is nothing i love more than hosting people. Here are some things I follow so my guests enjoy their stay:

• I always cook in one night, and I try to make it a 2/3 course meal. I typically start with an appetizer which is normally a charcuterie board with cheese, meats, crackers, nuts, jelly, and 1 dip. I then serve a fresh garden salad, something light and simple. Our main course we switch up but most recently have been doing filet mignon with veggies. Later on, we’ll have dessert, whether that be homemade ice cream sandwiches, a pie or pudding.

• I love the touch that fresh flowers have on a room. When guests come I love to either place them in the entry way, bathroom or next to their bed

• I ALWAYS have a welcome basket. If you can’t do the others at least do this one thing. Fill it with water, snacks and toiletries. I have received compliments on it every time. It is always used by our guests and there’s a reason why. Have you ever stayed at someone’s house and been so hungry when you go to bed? Or have you ever been so thirsty but you don’t want to wake people up by going to the kitchen? This will solve all their late night problems
