Homemade Almond Milk

Hey guys I’ve been trying to limit my processed foods and something I drink every day is almond milk. I didn’t realize how easy it was to make and how much more affordable it is if you make it yourself. I bought a 3 pounds of almonds for 5 bucks at Costco where one half gallon would be 5 or more dollars from the store. A plus is that you get the almond meal which you can use for cookies or energy bites. Great for ppl who are gluten free.

Here’s my recipe:

1. Soak 1 cup of almonds overnight

2. Drain almond and then put in blender

3. I pour in 4 cups of filtered water

4. Strain the mixture with a cheesecloth and squeeze the pulp

*Optional* you could add vanilla and a date or two or any other sweetener into the blender if you want flavored almond milk, I prefer mine plain because I use it in cooking.
