Macarons are finicky cookies that require precise measurements and techniques to achieve the perfect balance of crispy exterior and chewy interior. Even the slightest variation in ingredients or preparation can result in a batch of macarons that are either undercooked, overcooked, cracked, or without the signature "feet." 🙁

I’ve been in the baking scene for quite some time now & with my experience baking FAT MACARONS for my home-based business, I've developed some foolproof tips to share with you!

1. 🥚🥚 Ensure that your ingredients are at room temperature! Here's a pro tip to help you achieve stiff egg whites effortlessly: try warming them up slightly before beating. Simply place your eggs in warm water 🥣 for a few minutes before cracking and separating the egg whites from the yolks. 👍

2. Achieving stiff peaks when beating egg whites is crucial for creating the right texture and structure in macarons 🏔️ (refer to pic 3&4) ~

3. Use good quality baking/ parchment paper! The type of tray you use for baking macarons MATTERS🥹 you can either download free macaron templates online or create your own on google docs! I found creating my own useful as I can adjust the shapes/ sizes to my liking 😄

4. Resting: Let the macarons rest for at least 1 hour to form a skin on the top. Turning on the aircon helps 🤭 This is SO important for achieving that smooth, shiny finish on the macarons ✨

5. Temperature and Time: Bake the macarons in a preheated oven at 300°F / 150°C for 15-18 minutes. Keep in mind that finding the optimal timing to bake your macarons can take some trial and error, as all ovens are different. But be sure to keep an eye on them and remove them from the oven as soon as they begin to develop a slight tan on the top. Once cooled, the macarons should slide off the baking paper easily. 💃

These are just what worked for me after countless hours spent binge-watching YouTube tutorials & reading blogs on perfecting macarons & I hope these tips will be helpful to you! ^^ Keep trying and experimenting and soon you will be a macaron-making pro! 👩‍🍳
