here’s what I learned

TAKE THE TRIP.

Vacations aren’t really my family’s thing and it just becomes more stressful than relaxing at the end of the day. But last year my family and I took my daughter on her first vacation ever… to Disneyland in Florida!

It checked off a lot of firsts for her. First vacation, first Disney visit, first time flying, etc… all things I couldn’t wait to experience with my baby one day.

After we got home from the trip and things settled back in, I realized that the vacation was really for ME. I will be the one who holds these memories forever and I will get to share them with my daughter over and over again. She may not remember it, but I will. I’ll remember all the smiles and giggles when she saw her favorite characters. I’ll remember her confused little face when she went on her first ride. I’ll remember it all.

It healed my childhood in ways I would’ve never imagined.
