If you are an incoming NTU freshman & you plan to apply for hall but are unsure of which hall to stay in, this post may help!

I was recc-ed into Hall 10 single room + ac and had absolutely no regrets! I would say that my hall is pretty wholesome 🪿

Pros 🌟🌟🌟

- friendly people; i was blessed with the loveliest neighbours and they played a huge part as to why i enjoyed staying in hall. Generally, everyone in h10 kinda just knows one another after awhile!

- FOOOOOD the 2 nearest canteens to hall would be can11 and tama. The infamous cai peng at c11 but i like eating from the jap food, altho it may be a bit pricey for sch food but the auntie n uncle mending the stall are super adorbs n nice. And of course Tama's MALAA n the indian food's p good too 🍱

- nearby busstops; h10 is just a walking distance to 3 busstops (red bus + blue bus)

- lots of events to socialise; during my y1 in hall, we had quite a few events to expose ourselves to one another ie. night cycling, suppers at extension, cultural night, mj competition to raise funds! And also, mj-ing in hall among friends is rly common too 👯‍♀️

- views are amazing..we have a rooftop at every block but even then when you step out of your room, the views really pretty too; a really peaceful, calming sort of environment 🏙️

- lounge area for people to hang out/ chill around while waiting for their laundry to be done 🧺

- multiple CCAS to choose from (recre + nonrecre)

- not much commitments required to stay in hall the following AY

- offers a overseas cultural immersion programme during the summer break (i had the opportunity to join this programme & we went to Philippines for volunteer work in collaboration with YMCA!)

Cons

- (can be seen as a plus point for some) no lifts, i stayed on a somewhat high level so it was abit chor to climb up n down sometimes ie when i go out to dabao meals/ do laundry/ go to class

- abit pricey if you stay in single room + ac-- currently paying about $500+

Lmk if you have any other questions about hall! ◡̈
