Mental health needs to be talked about! I agree wholeheartedly that mental health is the same as physical health - and therefore we deserve the same accessibility to mental healthcare. Unal*ve prevention week has just ended and Iโd like to #SpillTheTea on two therapy apps that have made counselling much more accessible for me.

While each app has its pros and cons, my pick would be Safe Space. Itโs best for what I can afford currently, and isnโt too difficult to navigate, as their pre-session questionnaire just has three questions. These apps have helped me to break the barrier of thinking that I need to go to a legit clinic to get help, when all I need is a video call.
My counsellor has helped me through various situations, and given me the tools to take charge of certain areas of my life, all while validating me and not shutting down my emotions. Donโt be afraid to seek help - these apps also have the option to turn off your video for anonymity if you need it.
