What I wore: dinner and drinks in the West Village

Last Sunday I went to dinner in the West Village with a friend. Before, we were craving an Aperol Spritz since the weather was so nice, so stopped at the first place we saw and it was most enjoyable. $20 which I could cry, but it was an experience. We went to Emmett’s on Grove because I’ve heard their pizza is amazing and it was really good! It wasn’t *as* good as it was hyped up to be, but still good pizza.

I’m really trying to pull pieces from my closet lately and not shop as much, so this was an outfit I tried on when digging through my closet. I knew I wanted to wear this sweater I got from Revolve like 2 years ago (around $150) and have worn once before but it’s hard for me to style for some reason. I’ve done it with just like a bandeau under or no bra but that’s not always the vibe. I wanted to do a tank under, but white didn’t go with cream and black didn’t go with this either so I found this little floral Brandy Melville tank (around $15-20) I bought last year and haven’t worn yet but felt like it worked. Moral of the story- just sit in your closet and try on everything until you find something that works because you most likely always do.

I’m not the biggest fan of these jeans TBH, a Zara purchase from last year (around $50) but my other jeans just are not comfortable right now or flattering and so I grabbed the baggiest pair. When wearing baggy jeans, I make sure I’m either wearing a crop shirt or you can see some skin/waistline so you don’t look huge in them and it balances it a bit, ya know?

Overall this was a super random outfit but it worked!
