Send this to the Notion HATERS 😤😖💻

Notion is a fantastic tool, but it’s also known for its steep learning curve - as a fan, here’s 4 tips for the complaints I hear the most ➡️🤬😩

1️⃣ hot take: DITCH TEMPLATES 🎨🖼️

I’m a sucker for pretty notes!! But I realised that these aesthetic or expert templates frustrate me soo much, even up to now. Plus, most ppl I see using Notion regularly have simple, readable pages … function > flashy 😔🤘

2️⃣ NO (advanced) TUTORIALS 🎥💻

Don’t be scared off by mentions of databases and formulas! Stick with simple tutorials that teach the basics - build off this foundation when you’re ready :)

3️⃣ START SIMPLE ✏️👩‍💻

Headers, To do’s, Toggle, Pages - Just these 4 can fulfil almost any purpose, from study notes to travel planner. I went from basic list of toggles ➡️ to database and cards for my semester’s syllabus + cca planning.

As you become familiar, you’ll naturally think of new ways to use the app, and get more advanced 🧠

4️⃣ USE IT OUTSIDE OF WORK/SCHOOL 🙌✈️

Absolutely LOVE having all of my silly little lists be super organised. My recipe collection is tagged, has checkboxes, full links, and my reviews and favs (lmk if you want a peek! 👀👩🏻‍🍳) - just start Notion-ing everywhere hahahah
