Do I get a second opinion 400 miles away?

My stepmom sent me this article today.

I am already scheduled for surgery at UC next month, but I do have family in the STL area so it’s not IMPOSSIBLE. Not sure how I would pay foot it but if I can save my hearing, that’s worth being in debt the rest of my life….. right?
