Broken Collarbone

On Thursday at Judo, Braylee hurt her shoulder doing a rolling break fall. She cried for about 2 minutes, not hysterical though or anything. When I asked her where it hurt, she was pointing to 2 different muscles. So I thought she had just strained it, but she still didn’t have full range of motion all weekend. So I started debating if I should take her in, thinking maybe she tore something. But then she came to me after church and said she had discovered a bump on her chest. So I checked it out, and pretty much immediately knew that her collarbone was broken. So we got in the car, and headed to urgent care. And sure enough, it was VERY broken. So they gave her a sling, and the orthopedic clinic should reach out to us tomorrow, because there’s pretty much no way it will heal on its own. On the bright side, Braylee was very excited about her doggy sling and that we got ice cream after because I felt so bad 😅 She’s not in any pain if she doesn’t move her arm above shoulder level. Hopefully she doesn’t need surgery, but if she does, it’ll be ok. She’s not anxious about it right now or anything. Prayers appreciated!
