I was a little disappointed in this oil cleanser. My sensitive eyes were not a fan, and I’ve always said how important it is for a cleanser to be safe on my eyes because I wear a lot of makeup. That’s an automatic star off of my review. One of the times when I used it with a lotion based cleanser after (to not strip my skin of moisture), it still left my skin looking flaky which was surprising. Usually double cleansing with an oil based cleanser as my first step, won’t make my dry patches more noticeable. So it was surprising when I had flakes after using a more moisturizing cleansing duo (so I promptly used an exfoliating toner after to help). I also was not a fan of the smell of this oil. Those were why I took off two more stars from my review. The reason I still gave it two was because it did help break down the rest of my makeup (ie foundation) and SPF. It all came down to personal preference and I just didn’t like a lot of things about this.

Luckily for me, the serum was much more to my liking! The serum is fragrance free and features ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and Centella Asiatica. I only used it once per day because I know it’s a higher percentage of niacinamide. As long as I applied it with a hydrating moisturizer after, this serum did not leave my skin looking flaky when I woke up in the morning. It’s also worth noting that not only does niacinamide help with hyperpigmentation, but you do need to wear an SPF with it.
