WHY:

1. Hydration: The sodium and potassium help prevent dehydration, which is especially beneficial in the hot weather.

2. Energy Levels: During Long runs or hard workouts, electrolytes can help keep you fueled and produce energy efficiently.

3. Recovery: I always add electrolytes after I run, which helps me replenish what I lost and to feel better after sweating a lot!! Magnesium is very beneficial for recovery and preventing cramps.

WHEN:

I usually drink them after every run, but when I have to do a hard workout or long run in the day instead of the morning when it’s cooler, I have it during runs!

WHAT:

My two favorite brands are LMNT & Saltt. The flavors are good for both and the mg of Sodium, Magnesium, and Potassium are comparable. It just comes down to what you prefer! The Saltt Variety pack is cheaper, and can be found on Amazon!! Give it a try:)
