The best place to visit during Halloween

As a Native New Englander I have been visiting Salem my entire life. I will admit over the years it has gotten more crowded each year. I even went once on a school field trip. I guess that’s what happens when you grow up in Massachusetts. Anyways its a really unique place and I think everyone should visit once. Its kind of like the real life version of Halloweentown from the Disney Channel. In the beginning of October you won’t see as many people dressed up in costumes but the closer you get to Halloween the more costumes you will see. There aren’t a ton of hotels in the area so I’d recommend either doing an Airbnb, Hotel Salem, or my preferred method staying in Boston. I don’t think Salem is big enough for a full weekend unless you’re really into haunted houses. I’ve always done everything in a day. There some fun bars which could make a day drinking day kind of fun. You honestly could see everything without paying to go in. If you do want to go in you have to buy tickets in advance. You really could do this weekend on the cheap side if you don’t stay in Salem. The most expensive thing is probably the food. Oh and if you’re not into Haunted Houses don’t worry about it just maybe skip the ghost tours. Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Salem!
