Don’t miss out on this hidden gem

Everyone always talks about Hvar but, if you’re not a partier it might not be the right place for you. However, on the opposite side of Hvar is the oldest town in Croatia called Stari Grad. It’s rustic and quaint and the perfect destination if you’re looking for something a little less crowded. You can easily make a day trip out of it or spend a few days after going to Dubrovnik or having a few wild nights out in Hvar Town.

The only hotel located in Stari Grad is kind of expensive. There are some Airbnbs but, I’m a hotel person so I did splurge. I stayed at the Maslina Resort for $600 a night and I have to say it’s a perfect spot for a honeymoon. I wouldn’t stay there for more than a few days but it’s a great spot if you need a bit of relaxation. It’s also a great place to bring children. I don’t know if I would bring them to Havr Town but I certainly would to Stari Grad. Oh yeah did I mention the views are amazing and the water looks like Gatorade.
