24 hours in cutest storybook village

If you happen to have 24 hours in Europe either on your way from Amsterdam or Paris then I would spend a night in Bruges Belgium. I personally think you can skip Brussels and head right to the fairytale village of Bruges. When I went last October I quickly fell in love with the gorgeous canals, windmills, and storybook quality of this village. While I don't often tell support one night stays I do think Bruges is small enough that you could see everything in 24 hours and move on to your next stop. The city itself is really small and you can walk around the entire area in a few hours. The only reason I would suggest staying longer is if you go at Christmas time and want to explore the Christmas markets. Now while you're there I would stay at the stylish hotel Van Cleef. The staff is amazing and literally knew me by name after five minutes of just being there. Of course while your there I would get lunch at Locale and then go to Nieuw Museum for a steak. I'm not sure why but I truly had the best steaks in my entire life in Bruges and don't forget to stop up on chocolate from the Chocolate Line. Oh and if you care for a drink I would go to 2BE they have over 100 beer options and a wall of iconic beer bottles. My personal favorite was the cherry beer Boone. And before you leave I would go to one of the many year round Christmas stores and get an ornament before doing a scenic canal tour.
