Is Instagram dying out? 🍋

I see a lot of people deactivating their instagram accounts and here’s why I think that’s been happening:

- Instagram is trying to be more like TikTok with all the reels and advertisement - we already have TikTok, there is no need for a copycat + TikTok does it way better;

- Looks like Instagram is in its Facebook era; Remember when we all had Facebook at one point, now I personally don’t know anyone that has it. I think the same’s been happening with IG, slowly and gradually. Time will tell. ;

- Hyper-posting with less or no creativity; Seems that people’ve been posting for the sake of posting. No one is doing the creative posts, putting time and effort in it. I’m just glad I stumbled upon #Lemon8. People are much more creative here and you can actually see that they did not spend the 3 minutes on their posts.

- We spend a lot of time on social media, sharing, browsing, scrolling. And what is the best way to reduce that amount than to take a pause from it from time to time.

Even though I grew a lot on IG and had posted for years there, I just felt like it was time to turn the new leaf. I’m almost 4 years IG free and I did not regret it for a minute.

I’m happy that I found the new app that’s been so positive and cozy, I almost don’t want it to become popular 😹
