iā€™ve been going THROUGH it lately with burnout, so i thought iā€™d put together some helpful tips on how to avoid it (or resolve it in case it does happen)šŸ•Š

SIGNS OF BURNOUT

āŒyouā€™re feeling exhausted or hazy

as soon as any of these things creep in, iā€™d consider that you might be approaching burnout territory (tread carefully). thereā€™s different signs for different people, but these are the ones i most commonly experience ā€” know yourself & listen to your body.šŸ¤

TO AVOID BURNOUT

šŸ“map out your daily tasks

šŸ“donā€™t overcomplicate things

šŸ“do daily self check-ins

i always weigh my mental health on a scale of 1-10 (if i just got back from vacation, you know iā€™m feeling p good at a 1!) now, the goal isnā€™t to always be at a 1, but try sitting between a 4-6. if you feel yourself start to move towards a 7, take a serious step back & breathe.

TO FIX BURNOUT

šŸ¤prioritize recovery

šŸ¤DDD (delegate, delete, or delay non-pressing tasks

šŸ¤relax & reground yourself

sometimes despite my best efforts, burnout comes around again. these are things i try to remember to do in those situations to ease my mind. if you read this far ā€” thank you! hereā€™s a little bonus for you:

RECHARGE ACTIVITIES

āœØsleep or meditate (for low recovery)

āœØexercise or book a spa day (med. recovery)

āœØtake a vacation (high recovery)

depending on how intense my burnout is feeling, these kinds of activities always help bring be back, relax & reground myself. i hope they help you too!
