rating matcha lattes pt 9! 🍵✨❤️

finally trying cafe usagi!! the last time i went i only tried their mochi ice cream and now i’m excited to try their matcha 🍵 we got two items:

✨ mochi waffle + genmaicha ice cream $8.50 + $5

- super friendly staff, got to try a few flavours before picking out a scoop

- amazing genmaicha, which is roasted green tea, and i rly liked the strong tea taste to it

- mochi waffle was very stretchy and not dry at all, and complements the genmaicha very well

⭐️ rating: 4.5/5 (minus 0.5 points bc of the price point, slightly expensive)

✨ strawberry matcha latte, $8.80

- thick matcha, vibrant green colour

- strong umami taste and strawberry blends well into the matcha 👍🏼

- do not recommend stirring in all the strawberry at the bottom bc then it becomes too sweet and the strawberry overpowers the matcha

- after stirring in all the strawberry, the strawberry totally overpowered the matcha flavour, and i couldn’t taste the matcha at all in the end

- recommend to just mix half of the strawberry in or try while mixing!

😊 overall, would visit again to try the matcha latte, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and q underrated, they have a lot of interesting stuff on the menu; hvala was also on the same floor and it was packed, but this shop was kinda empty in a good way as it was not as crowded even though we went on a public holiday so everywhere was packed
