☁️ Rise Bakehouse

Known for its IG-worthy and unique treats, Rise is a quaint neighborhood cafe located just a few minutes away from Potong Pasir MRT. I’ve been eyeing this cafe for MONTHS ever since it went viral on TikTok and I’m so glad we finally made a visit.

☁️ Strawberry Cheesecake Teacake

Price: $7.20

Initially, I hesitated getting this because I’m not a fan of cheesecakes (don’t come at me). BUT, I am a huge strawberry fan and my love for strawberry supersedes my distaste for cheese, so I decided to try it out anyways 🍓

This took me by a pleasant surprise because it doesn’t have any cheese taste – not even the slightest hint of it. Within the teacake itself, strawberry chunks and strawberry jam gave it a light, delightful tang. PLUS, the crumble hidden in the center of the teacake was another pleasant surprise, adding an extra layer of texture to the cake.

Overall, this was a delicate teacake that was perfectly balanced. It wasn’t overtly sweet, and doesn’t fall apart easily. Not forgetting to mention: It’s so pretty that I couldnt stop taking pics of it😍

☁️ Honey Vanilla Chamomile Teacake

Price: $7.20

This was my boyfriend’s pick and it was SUPER flavorful 🍯 Just like the name, the taste is pretty complex, yet everything works well together.

My bf is not a foodie but he really loved it – he almost bought another (which he rarely does). His only complaint was that it was a little* dry, but overall, he enjoyed it.

☁️ Sakura Matcha Latte

This is a seasonal release and I decided to try it out because it was SO pretty 🌸🍵 Plus, I love drinking matcha and decided it’s a good switch from my usual coffee cafe orders.

The cream layer is pretty thick, and once stirred, it has a very strong rose taste 🌹

☁️ Overall: We enjoyed our experience at Rise and we’d definitely come back here again! I was so happy because everything was super pretty and tasty, especially after the bar was set super high. The space is really small so expect some waiting when it’s crowded (especially on the weekends)
