brunette for fall (what i asked for + inspo pics)

being blonde for 6 months was a vibe, i loved playing barbie for a bit!!! but when you have natural black roots and not enough money to go and get it retouched every 3 months, it just doesn’t look as good anymore 😭! i decided to go darker for fall, and finally say goodbye to my overgrown blonde hair, and i truly think it’s one of the best decisions i’ve made. my hair feels so much healthier and just looks more alive.

i made sure to ask my stylist for a brunette balayage in order to still have dimension in my hair instead of just a solid color so really emphasize you want dimension!! and for my preference, since i don’t go to the salon as often, i made sure that she went a little darker for the brunette since my roots are black. she suggested a root melt where she blends the color with my natural roots so it seamlessly grows out.
