How to deal with scam/spam calls

Have you been receiving spam/scam calls?

One way to avoid this is by not picking up unsaved numbers.. But in reality you can't always ignore calls, what if it's important??

Here are 2 additional steps you can do to avoid getting scammed!

1) Download Truecaller app. It will pop out as what other people named this number as and what other ppl catagory them. Like: RHB customer service, Citylink delivery, Loan (scam) etc. But it is not that reliable as sometimes it is really a legit call from a bank to solve the inquiry you sent in, but you didn't pick up so they can't solve your issue & someone put them as spam.

2) PICK UP THE CALL! After you pick up, immediately press record or speaker. I usually will put on speaker. Once the scammer on the line hears a beep sound after you select one of it, they will IMMEDIATELY end the call.

If the caller didn't end call, he/she is a real service person most probably cold calling, you can just say that you don't need the service. The only time I won't pick up suspicious calls is when I'm at work, coz I can't put them on speaker..

Always answer suspicious calls with someone next to you, let them hear in on the call so they can stop you if you didn't realize it is a scam. And that at least another person know what is happening.
