An epic hike in Washington

Colchuck Lake is a popular, beautiful alpine lake located near Leavenworth, Washington. The hike to the lake is 9 miles round trip with 2,500 feet of elevation gain. The drive to the trailhead is a narrow forest road that goes up into the mountains, and the parking lot gets incredibly busy. We arrived on a Saturday morning at 6:30am to an almost full parking lot, so get there EARLY.

Bring lots of water, bug repellent, sunscreen, some snacks to eat by the lake, and a change of clothes or small towel if you are going to jump into the lake. Have fun & enjoy the views!
