Get a Pedicure With Me | Prepping My Feet For Fall

My toe nails were OVERDUE for a pedicure - the gel was chipped off and I didn’t love the white anymore. I wanted something more subtle to get my toes ready for the fall!

LOCATION

I get my nails done at Nails Club in Garden Grove, Orange County 🍑 It’s the first nail salon I discovered when I moved to O.C., and I stuck with it because they’re super nice and do great work. The interior is also super cute with a mural on the wall & they have massage chairs - so you’re getting a free back massage with your pedicure 🙌🏼

STEP 1: Foot Bath

• first, the feet are soaked in a tub to get them soft and prep them for the pedicure

• I like that they‘re using a cover so you don’t touch the same surface as everyone else

STEP 2: Gel Removal

• I had a little gel left over from my last pedicure, so she removed it

• I had white nails for the summer but wanted something a little more subtle for fall

STEP 3: Picking a Color

• they have a lot of options, but I went for 003, which is a beige/grey tone

STEP 4: Shaping & Prepping

• next, she cut my nails down because they‘d gotten way too long

• I like having them square-shaped with slightly rounded edges

• she clipped my cuticles to prep my feet for the gel

STEP 5: Callus Removal

• removing callus makes the feet smoother and look better

• they shouldn’t be too harsh when removing callus because that can make it worse instead of better

STEP 6: Base Coat Layer

• the base coat layer is the base for the color

• it provides an even surface to paint on

• it also prevents stains and marks on your nails

STEP 7: Color & Top Coat

• next come 2 layers of color, followed by a top coat layer

• the top coat prevents the nails from scratches

• the feet are placed under LED after each layer

THE RESULT

• I love how the color turned out

• unfortunately, it looks kinda white in pictures but it‘s actually a very subtle beige/grey. Perfect for the fall! 🍂
