MUST-HAVE BRUSHES: Full Makeup Routine

Applying makeup and making it look good can be a hassle without the right brushes. Brushes can make or break your makeup look. But don’t worry - you don’t need a massive collection of fancy, expensive brushes for every single makeup product in the world. A few basic brushes are enough - let me show you which ones I use ✨

1. FOUNDATION

• I used to apply foundation with my hands, can you believe it? It’s messy and doesn’t work very well

• my favorite foundation blush ever is the “Ultimate Blending Brush” from e.l.f. ($7) - it works like a CHARM!

• this brush even won an award as the best foundation applicator in 2018!

2. CONCEALER

• again, applying with your fingers isn’t the best idea and wastes a lot of product

• I recommend the “Sublime Perfection Concealer Brush” from Pat McGrath Labs ($36). It’s on the more expensive side and I got it as a gift, so for low-budget (but very good!) brushes, e.l.f. is always a good idea

3. BLUSH & BRONZER

• I prefer medium-sized brushes for blush, so my fave is the angled brush from Douglas. It was part of a set, so I don’t know the price. Again, e.l.f. has similar ones, and there’s great brushes on Amazon as well!

• I use the bigger one for bronzer or when I’m not trying to be too precise

4. LASHES

• a lash brush is a non-negotiable for me. It just makes my lashes look so much better

• it separates the lashes and prevents them from sticking together, which creates a way more voluminous look

5. EYEBROWS

• an eyebrow wand is a MUST

• it gets the eyebrows in shape and prepares them for the product you put on after

• it makes it so easy to style your eyebrows that they even look good without any product in them
