The weather is starting to cool (finally!) and our time to spend out and about will start to slow down due time. I’m not the biggest winter girly, I don’t like making my boys be out if they don’t have to, I like it for the holidays and then I want it gone😂

ANYWAY! Here’s my list of weekend activities you can do with kids of all ages inside and outside that are relatively inexpensive and fun for everyone!

• Visit your local library: Visiting your local library (or one of your choosing) can be a great weekend activity for all sorts of kids! They always have activities and things going on that you can get your kids involved in. The children’s section is great for reading, playing, and socializing. Of course we can’t forget the experience of checking books out to take home and bring back to visit again!

• The zoo or aquarium: Zoos can be very exciting around this time of the year. Since the temperatures are lower the animals will be more active, depending on what time your zoo closes (and time zone) nocturnal animals might be able to be seen more active before closing time! Aquariums are wonderful for seeing sea life up close and learning about our oceans and the importance of them.

• Visit a new park: The city we live in is filled with parks and some we still haven’t visited. Visiting a new park is so exciting and offers a new place for your kids to play and explore! I like switching up parks to keep things interesting.

• Visit a museum: Museums are fun and educational! Most museums have interactive displays for children to interact with. Whether it’s an art museum, air museum, children’s museum, etc. it’ll be fun for everyone and your child just might learn something new!

• Visit a farm: Visiting a farm is so fun! Learning about animals and getting up close to them is so beneficial! Farms show us how and where our food comes from, the importance of farmers, and how to care for our animals/food. Farms gives us a chance to connect with animals we might not have the privilege to interact with on a regular basis!

• Visit the Lego store: I’ve made a post about the Lego store before but I stand by it! The store has a place to create your own mini-figures, they also have displays set up that allow children to build and create right in the store. Then there’s the rows and rows of never ending legos you can pick from to take home!

• Visit an indoor playground: Indoor playground are great for chilly and rainy weather! Indoor playgrounds are nice to let your kids run free, climb, and socialize. The one we have has several sections and activities to choose from for kids of all ages including a 0-12 only area!

• Go to your farmers market: The farmers market offers a variety of food, fresh produce, and desserts! Our local farmers market includes a musician and chair/tables set up all throughout to enjoy what you get! Our farmers market moves inside for the winter months but until then we’re going to continue to enjoy it while the sun is out🥰

Let me know in the comments what other activities you love to do on the weekends and if there are any you’d add to my list!
