You just got home from one of the best trips of your entire life. You’re back in the “real world”. You’re back to the normal routine. You’re back to seeing the same people, doing the same things, working, etc. The post travel depression is hitting. I’ve felt this MULTIPLE times. So how exactly do you cope with this?

1) Feel all the feels: acknowledge the trip is over and think back to it as much as you need to. It’s normal to feel this way. You just experienced things you’ve never experienced and were at an all time high.

2) Keep yourself busy: it’s normal to feel sad, but don’t let this keep you on the couch all day. Instead, stay active and work on your goals. Go see your friends and tell them all about the amazing trip you just had!

3) Book your next trip: having something to look forward to always helps. While one trip is over, this doesn’t mean it’s over forever. You can leave again and experience all those beautiful things all over again!

4) ME time: take some time to workout, have a spa day, light some candles, read some books and decompress. It’s also the perfect time to recharge and relax

5) Journal it out: I love journaling about my trip and how I am feeling. It’s a great way to release your feelings and also to document your trip and read back later down the line.
