Have you ever tried Okra?
I remember seeing it as a child and thinking it was just an oversized bean. Apparently, it’s a fruit! It definitely doesn’t taste like a fruit though. When I first tried it, it was super crunchy and then very quickly reminded me of a pepper in taste. It has a very slight taste so it’s not overpowering your water either!
The consistency looks a bit slimy, but I think that depends on the quantity of Okra you use in your water. I’ve listed the ingredients that I used for my Okra water and the amount of Okra that I used did not make my water slimy at all :)
Ingredients:
5 “stalks” of Okra
1 lemon
1/2 piece of ginger
2 teaspoons of chia seeds
Add water to fill your jar/ water bottle
Shake/ stir it up and leave in fridge overnight
Drink in the morning on an empty tummy !
Nothing other than Okra is necessary for you to have the full benefits of Okra! I just decided to add a bit more to my water because I love the taste that ginger and lemon add to my water and I love chia seeds :)
I felt so good after drinking my water :) it was super delicious and kept my hydrated.
