Tips and tricks: Taking your dog to the beach! 🌊🐚

Are you headed to the beach with your pup? Here are some quick tips from a beach dog!

🪧1. Check your local dog rules.

Each beach has specific dog rules for their beach. Here at Isle of Palms there are certain hours your dog can be on and off leash. As well as reminding people to pick up after their dogs.

🦮2. Use a leash.

It’s important to keep your dog on a leash so that you can keep complete control of them. There are lots of other dogs and distractions on the beach. They may run after the birds if your not careful!

💩3. Bring poop bags and a used bag holder.

It’s required to pick up after your pet on the beach. Bring extra bags so you’re ready! I like to bring a use bag holder so that I don’t have to personally carry the use bag.

💦4. Stay Hydrated.

Your dog will get tired after playing at the beach! Be sure to bring a collapsible bowl and water for them to drink!

🌊5. Enjoy the water!

Some dogs love to swim and play in the water! Maple is not one of the dogs. She likes to just watch the waves come in and cool off.
