Take a quick trip to Los Angeles with me!🍋

Since relocating to Las Vegas, I still need to return to Los Angeles for my orthodontist appointments. I hate the drive- although it’s only a couple hours- so I hopped on a flight and did what I needed to do!

✈️ Got a rental car so that I wouldn’t have to depend on family or friends or pay a bunch for Uber. I did have to pay to Uber to the rental car place, but that’s my own fault. Found out later that there’s a shuttle available, but I know for next time!

✈️ Had to hit my fave breakfast spot or grits and mimosas! It’s a small, black-owned spot in the hood with the best food. To maximize time, I met up with my niece. I missed her as well as a lot of my friends and family, so I try to see as many people as I can whenever I’m in town.

✈️ After breakfast, I headed to the Slauson Swap Meet. I really wanted to get my ring fixed because it had randomly broken. My boyfriend also requested that I bring him some fresh white tshirts back. While my ring was being repaired, I browsed the shops inside.

✈️ Since this was a small vacay away from my family, I treated myself the whole trip! I tried to eat all the foods I missed. I drank more mimosas than I should have. I indulged as much as possible! I also got myself a new ring and a few new waistbeads.

✈️ Met my Dad and his girlfriend for a nice steak dinner before dropping into Target to see if they had anything special. They didn’t.

✈️ The next morning, I met up with one of my best buddies and we went to have breakfast at The Pan in Long Beach. I freaking love their waffles and of course, more mimosas for me! I had to eat good before my ortho appointment because I know my mouth will be a bit sore for the next few days.

✈️ At the orthodontist, I got my bands replaced and now I have to wear a silly elastic, but whatever gets the job done. Until next time, LA!
