FIRST DATE GREEN FLAGS to look out for ✅😗✨

enough about red flags!! 🚩 let’s talk green flags instead ✅👀

on dates, we can be so hyperfocused on sussing out red flags (and understandably so!) that we forget to notice the good stuff. here are 5 green flags i noticed on my first date w my partner that affirmed me to keep growing our r/s 🥰

1️⃣ 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 & 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁

first things first - effort!! this is so important. he took the initiative to suggest a dinner place, plan the date, and offered to pick me up. to me it was a sign that he knew how to plan a good day out, and that he was invested enough to do so! i’m a huge planner personally, so it meant a lot to me to have someone else plan for once 🤭

2️⃣ 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀

this was my first real date ever LOL (this explains why) so i was super nervous. but he was really respectful of boundaries and maintained a comfortable distance between us. basically he didn’t do anything funny or try to go too fast and i appreciated that 🤡

3️⃣ 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀

beyond just talking, i noticed that he was a good listener as well! the convo went back and forth, and he asked follow up questions when i spoke (not just hogging the entire convo like the horror stories my friends shared 😵).

4️⃣ 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

beyond small talk and the initial getting to know each other, the conversation went deep too. i know not everyone goes there on the first date but maybe it’s something to eventually look out for! i felt it was a sign we could be open with each other about our past, values, etc.

5️⃣ 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵

the one thing girls universally look for 🤪 his cold jokes happen to work for me HAHA. we bantered and laughed easily for hours and the chemistry was definitely there ✨

he doesn’t use lemon8, but maybe i should send this to him as an ego boost 🤣
