Breaking down my 9 days taiwan 2023 experience

Where we stayed: MidTown Richard (7.5/10)

👍🏼 : better hotels, very clean, decent, very near Ximenting, affordable

👎🏼 : no windows

😍 would recommend WestGate Hotel same area

no particular order

1. Xi Men Ting ⭐️⭐️⭐️

👍🏼

- must go

- younster place/ newer

- MANY delicious food especially push carts at night

- free performances too

- shoppings

2. Yong He Soy milk (xmt)⭐️

👍🏼- soy milk is good 8/10

👎🏼

- longg dine in queue 30mins (jus take out)

- other food 4/10

* don’t go for the fake shops around

3. Hu xu zhang taipei ⭐️⭐️⭐️

👍🏼

- must try lu rou fan 10/10

- affordable

👎🏼

- small dine in area but not much queue

4. Tong hua/ lin jiang market ⭐️

👍🏼

- typical and mostly street food

- slightly cheaper

👎🏼

- pretty old market

- not very big

(last priority)

5. Shilin market ⭐️⭐️

👍🏼

- more youngsters too

- claw machines and games area

- also typical street food

👎🏼

- crowdedness 7.5/10

- abit overrated

6. Jiu fen ⭐️⭐️

👍🏼

- shops have seatings

- place is interesting, historical

- ice cream popiah and dessert 9/10

👎🏼

- don’t go during noon, go in the morning

- noon crowd is 11/10

- crowd gets worse towards the end, basically cant see or enjoy much cause is skin to skin in two different directions

7. RaoHe night market⭐️⭐️⭐️

👍🏼

- a lot of good food

- crowded but queues are fast

- smelly toufu somehow taste nicer there

👎🏼

- no shops w brands

- no claw machines, few games

8.Dan shui Market ⭐️⭐️

👍🏼

- most food are delicious

- refreshing view

- decent crowd

just few of my opinions and experiences! 3⭐️ must go, 1⭐️ don’t prioritise going
