Epidural or unmedicated?🍼👶🏻🤰🏻

My first daughter I got induced at 37 weeks, I got the epidural around 5cm, then the broke my water once it had taken affect. After about 30 mins I felt very ill and just weird so the anesthesiologist came in and I was numb up to my chest 😶 so they turned it off and let it wear off and came back to check on me 20min later. They set it to half the dose I was at and I could feel my contractions again so I asked them to check my dilation cuz I was sweating and about to throw up and having back to back contractions 😂 so they did and I was at 10cm and fully effaced 👶🏻 they called the nurse and 3 pushes later and my princess was here 🩷🍼

With my second I was at the grocery shopping w my daughter I was planning on doing some meal preps cuz it was getting close to my due date! As I was walking around I started to feel some contractions so I finished shopping, went home and called my boyfriend to get off work. He was there about 20 mins later and took me to the hospital. When we got there they checked my dilation and I was at 6cm, I asked for an epidural but they had to wait for my labs to come back! So they took me across the hall to a delivery room and the dr came in and I was at 8cm! So they said I could get an epidural but it take 30 mins to take affect… I ended up not getting it and she was indeed born before the 30 mins 😂

Both my pregnancies were very easy for me, in fact I loved being pregnant 🩷🤰🏻 and both my births were also easy! I didn’t do any birthing classes, I didn’t drink any teas or eat certain foods. To me it’s a lot of mental prep! If you’re sitting there stressing and worrying and trying to do all these things you read online you’re more likely gonna be stressed and of some thing doesn’t go to your ‘plan’ then it ruins everything for you.

Don’t stress! Our bodies were made to do this! It’s a beautiful thing 🩷 with or without epidural, or if you have a c-section do what’s best for you and your baby!! Not everyone’s experience is the same so don’t take advice from everyone! Make your own story 🩷🍼👶🏻
