Let your toddler do these things!

Toddlers are so curious of everything we do. Sometimes the easier thing is to just quickly do things yourself and distract them with something else while you do it.

Chores - Emptying the dishwasher is so much easier when he’s doing something else. But it is also his absolute favorite thing to help with. He likes to hand me the silverware for me to put away. Yes, I do have to rewash whatever ends up in the ground, but he has so much fun!

Cooking and baking - He helps with just about every meal I make. He loves loves loves cooking. If I start making dinner without him, he goes over to his toddler tower and tries to climb in and whines for help to get in. He likes to have his own spoon and bowl to help mix things up.

Making a mess - I know messes can be overwhelming sometimes, but try to remember that all messes can be cleaned, usually easier than we think. In our kitchen we have some cabinets that aren’t locked, they are baby safe items or the pantry. He pulls everything out and plays so contently with them.
