how CHATGPT landed my WFH job

it’s honestly so weird to me to say that artificial intelligence helped me land my remote job… but it’s true!

something i always made sure of was to NOT lie on my résumé so all i did was go to ChatGPT for a little extra… help. and boy was it worth it!

it was my very first time using ChatGPT so you could tell i was very desperate to get a work from home job. after messing around with it a little, i was finally able to get a good understanding of how it worked and BOOM! i had an outstanding résumé!

💻 TECH EXPERIENCE

— when applying for reputable remote companies, tech experience is a MUST! i really only had experience with Microsoft Office and Google at the time but i was lucky enough to be applying for a position that works with Microsoft! however, i had a hard time trying to summarize what all i can really do in the software. so i typed “MICROSOFT OFFICE SKILLS FOR RESUME” and i chose some options ChatGPT provided (that i actually knew) and inputted them on my résumé. it made everything sound better professionally and literacy wise.

💵 RELATE YOUR PREVIOUS POSITIONS

— when i say this, i really mean it by trying to find parts of your old job that can relate to the one you are applying for. with me, i was applying for a remote chat position. in my previous positions, they were mostly customer service based so i had that but some also had tech experience as well! so i really tried to highlight that when it came to my previous job positions to showcase that i had the experience needed to get the remote job.
