skincare for beginners🫧

it’s been a few years since i first started using skincare (i was like 17 years old).

when i first started, i had no idea what serum was for what and how to layer the serums and the list goes on.

here are some things i recommend for beginners (:

when starting out skincare for the first time, i’ve always been told to start small. you don’t want to overload your face with a bunch of products because it can cause severe purging and ultimately, damage your skin.

when i first started out, i bought cleanser, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and moisturizer. THAT’S IT. because i didn’t want to overload my face with chemicals that

1) may or may not work

and 2) may cause a severe reaction

when starting off small, you get the chance to really understand what may be working for you and what may not be and then you can starting building from there.

NOTE: some brands may not work for you so you can branch out and try other ones if you are not getting the results you are wanting!
