Easy, cute, fall DIY — pressed flower modge podge pumpkins!
Supplies:
— white pumpkins
— pressed flowers: you can buy then pressed, or press them yourself (instructions below)
— modge podge
How to:
1. Start with your flowers. One option is to find them pressed from a craft store. I found some at Michael’s, but found them to be a bit expensive. For a quick way to press flowers yourself at home, place between 2 paper towels and place in the microwave with a heavy container on top to squish them down. Heat for 90 seconds at 50% power, and then add 30 second intervals as needed until they are flat and crisp.
2. Use modge podge and a foam brush to gently stick the flowers around your pumpkin.
3. Let dry.
I’m usually not a big DIY or craft person, so I promise this is an easy one! I used baby’s breath flowers I picked up from Trader Joe’s for just a couple of dollars, but I think it would also be so cute to use a variety of flowers and colors. I’ve had them on my windowsill for a little over a week and they’ve held up well!
