“That’s A LOT of sliding doors!” 🚪😲

“First time seeing a home with so many sliding glass doors! Usually homeowners don’t install so many of these one,” said the installer of our safety film for the glass screens.

We also didn’t know that it’s uncommon to install all these glass sliding doors? Or is it not?

Sharing about our 4 sliding doors in our home which we rly love! 🧡

All of them serves different purposes

1. 💙Common toilet

- to separate the wet & dry area

- not a swing door as we don’t want additional floor space to be taken up (less area for moving around)

2. 💜Master toilet

- to separate the wet & dry area

- not a swing door as we don’t want additional floor space to be taken up (less area for moving around)

- gives us a more lux & calming vibe to relax in the shower after a long day esp w our shower steamers HAHA (home made spa hehe 🧖🏻‍♀️)

3. 💛Service yard

- to separate the service yard from the kitchen

- to prevent heavy cooking smells in kitchen from getting stuck to our clothes

- we prefer it to the original bi-fold door provided by hdb, because it doesn’t take up as much floor space in the service yard.

4. 💚Kitchen entrance

- to separate kitchen from dining/living area

- to prevent heavy cooking smells from getting to dining/living area

- synchronised soft closing mechanism

⚠️We are aware of the dangers of sliding glass doors shattering 😣 as we’ve seen videos of glass screens shattering w/o clear reason why.

For safety purposes, all of our sliding doors have safety films applied on them. So we can use them with a peace of mind! 🥹

⚠️We are also aware that cleaning the glass doors to keep it fingerprint/water stain-free could be a chore. but we’re fine with it since we engage a part-time helper occasionally. and our need for separation of areas outweighs the hassle of cleaning!!⚖️ Not sure why but we rly like the clear separation of areas a lot 😂
