I SENT DMS TO 100 ULTA BEAUTY BRANDS! I didn’t expect to hear from every brand, but this is my experience.

I combined information received from both Instagram DMs and company websites to put this information together. I sought a few basic details:

-Contact Info

-Loyalty Programs and Discounts

-Career Opportunities and Ambassador Programs

GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT MINIMALISTIC WEBSITE.

I was satisfied with the DM response, but still wanted to dig further for the sake of having information for you guys… I came up with absolutely nothing other than the contact us tab. Waiting for an email back.

CONCISE AND THOUGHTFUL RESPONSE! 10/10

I love the inclusivity of the brand! But now I have to stalk their social pages to find opportunities. I sent an email to the address provided and am waiting to hear back. I’ve also applied to the ambassador program. Each application must be approved by a moderator.

MORE CAREER DRIVEN THAN OTHER BRANDS I’VE SEEN AND I LIKE THAT! 10/10

The Insta rep gave me the exact info I asked for! I did some digging anyways and found that there are a lot of relevant job opportunities at retail locations across the United States that don’t require a strong social platform or tons of experience. I have yet to receive an email response, though.

QUICK TO RESPOND!

While the Insta rep just kind of brushed off my interest, the email rep asked how many followers I had. After seeing the number, they said they were not looking for any partnerships at the moment. They let me down gently, which is nice, but I would think you wouldn’t even ask about follower count or any other personal information if you know you’re not looking for new partnerships. I did really enjoy that they sent satisfaction surveys after both the Instagram and the email encounters.
