when i find myself craving for something sweet but also want something that’s a little more macro-friendly, i’ll make these low calorie brownies 🥰 while they do not taste exactly the same as traditional brownies, i would say that this is one of the best low cal brownie recipes i’ve tried and it tastes pretty legit 🤩
this recipe makes 16 small brownies at 54 cals each with 4g of protein. the whole brownie has 870 cals, 63g protein.
what you’ll need:
150g greek yogurt
70ml low fat milk
1 egg
2 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
20g zero cal sweetener
pinch of salt
55g plain flour
30g whey casein protein powder
25g cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
25g melted dark chocolate
topping:
25g dark chocolate chunks
15g mini chocolate chips
directions:
in a mixing bowl, combine greek yogurt, milk, egg, maple syrup, vanilla extract and whisk till smooth.
sift in the flour, cocoa powder and protein powder. add in the salt, sweetener and baking soda. In a small bowl, melt 25g of dark chocolate. add the melted chocolate in and mix till a smooth batter is formed.
pour the brownie batter into a lined baking tin and top with chocolate chunks and mini chocolate chips.
Bake at 180C for 20 mins and let it cool completely before serving!
