Be careful with Exfoliants‼️

I completely fucked myself by using the Wisful Yo Glow enzyme scrub everyday and then to make it worse I dermaplaned and used the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask right after and boy did I scrub the fuck out of my skin 😩 then I woke up today with all these little red pimples everywhere, my skin is damn near raw and I almost cried 🥲

The Wishful Yo Glow Scrub feels so soft I didn’t think I was really exfoliating when using it and I thought it was safe to use daily - man was I wrong but it was also the combination of me forgetting my birth control pill for 2 days, the enzyme mask and dermaplaning. When I went outside I could feel stinging and burning sensations in my skin even though it looked moisturized and I had a ton of spf on. I completely stripped my skin barrier and it wasn’t even from the Ordinary Blood Mask - which I’m definitely skipping this week.

This can happen to anybody! So since I got back inside and showered I did a healing version of my skincare routine ❤️‍🩹

I left out a lot of the stronger serums and glycolic acid. I also washed my pillow cases, linens and my satin bonnet. And I found and took my birth control. Hopefully my skin is back to clear by morning even though I know it will take some time to rebuild my skin barrier 🥹
