I miss my old bedroom set up.

I miss having my bed in the corner nook, the room felt more spacious. But I’m trying to accept that this is the the season of life where we need the crib by the bed for now.

Pros of having bed in corner nook

1.) pretty views out the window

2.) out of the way, room was spacious

3.)more room for other furniture

Cons of bed in corner nook

1.)the beam above the bed meant spiders would fall on my face while sleeping.

2.) one of the windows looks out to a family members dwelling, so I always felt awkward about seggs even with curtains.

3.) without a headboard and the window being behind the head of one side of the bed, it was kinda hard to sit in bed and lean back, and also became a hazard with a mobile child on the bed.

3.) our windows are super old and rattle in the wind, so that was scary, we actually lost a window last winter during a storm, it fell outside though, so I guess it’s consoling that windows fall out instead of inwards? I feel safer having less windows by the bed.

4.) EARTHQUAKEs. Outside walls fall off more I think, and I always felt like the earthquake would roll me out the window… also, the heaviest stuff in the attic is in that corner of the room.
