If you don’t know where to eat in NYC, now you do. I can’t encourage you enough to check these spots out!

1. L’Appartament 4F: order the raspberry almond croissant. Bonus points for walking the Brooklyn Heights Promenade after

2. Lucali: This is Beyonce and Jay-Z’s favorite pizza spot in NYC. Do not sleep on the calzones. A bit of a process to get in but so worth it. At 4 pm each day they give out reservation times on site on a first come first serve basis - this is in person!! People start lining up as early as 3 pm. After receiving your reservation time, you can walk around Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill while you wait for your slot. Note that it’s cash only and BYOB!

3. Brooklyn Farmacy: The hot chocolate with a toasted marshmallow on top is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Their ice cream/milkshakes are also incredible. It has a super cute old soda shop interior so great vibes to order and stay

4. Spicy Moon: This is vegan Szechuan food that I promise meat eaters will love. I recommend going with several people so you can order multiple dishes and share. Get the Kung Pao tofu and Dan Dan noodles

5. Yellow Rose: These are the best tacos I’ve had in the U.S. outside of Texas and it’s super affordable.

6. Thai Villa: Thai food is my love language and this is one of my favorite spots for it. The drunken noodles are *chefs kiss* and everyone I’ve taken here has left happy

7. LumLum: Another Thai favorite that’s convenient if you’re a bit further north in Midtown. I’m sometimes hesitant to order tofu out because so many places don’t cook it well. LumLum did it perfectly and paired with a spicy Pad See Ew it was 🤌🏻

8. Miss Ada: these Mediterranean small places are incredible. Odd rec but order the cauliflower soup - trust me on this

9. Court Street Grocers: everything you want in a neighborhood sandwich shop

I’d love to hear your top NYC restaurant recs in the comments!
