I have been in a cutting phase for the past 6 weeks. I am in a 500-calorie deficit daily, which leads to a 3,500-calorie deficit per week. A 3,500 calorie deficit per week should equate to 1lb weight loss per week if done correctly.

I make sure to keep my protein high, especially when I am cutting. Keeping your protein high can help to reduce the amount of muscle you lose during the cut. For reference, I weigh 142 lbs right now and consume 170g of protein daily.

This is a typical day of eating for me:

~ Egg White Omelet & Cottage Cheese

~ Ground Turkey Fajitas

~ Salmon, Rice, & Veggies
