Whose stuff is this????

I ordered some groceries through DoorDash to make buffalo chicken dip for a party about two weeks ago. My mom had stopped by the house to drop something off and I was chatting with her as the man dropped off the order.

We were in the backyard chatting while he dropped them off out front, 2 brown paper bags which was obv cause plastic is banned where I live.

About 10 minutes later my mom leaves and I go to bring in my groceries. Except when I look in the bag I see notebooks and school supplies. I look on the side of the bag with the store name and it says Walmart….. Walmart isn’t even available on DoorDash.

I go through contacting people so on and so forth. I get a refund for credits but now I’m like hmmm idk man so then u call and get a card refund.

As for the supplies, I took to Facebook to try and reconnect these with the person who ordered them. I’m not in school anymore, I had no need for them. And what if this person used the last of their money to buy these supplies for their kids just DAYS before school starts and now they’re screwed????

After no luck finding the original shopper I decided to post on my town page to see if anyone was in need of supplies. I met a lovey lady only a couple years older than myself with a daughter in school. She had told me how she was recently divorced and her job had cut over half of her hours.

I met with her up the street from my house (since we ended up only a few streets away from each other) and I gave her the items, exchanged a hug and I went about my day.

A couple of days later I get a message. It’s from her. It’s a picture of her daughter with the school supplies and a HUGE smile on her face with a thank you text.

Anyway, I made this whole post for one key point: always make some lemons out of lemonade.

Was I annoyed I didn’t have my groceries? Yep. Was I pissed off I was out $50 and would be for like a week? Oh hell yeah. But at the end of the day it happened, I got this stuff instead.
