How To Prevent Breakouts From Makeup

HOW TO PREVENT BREAKOUTS FROM MAKEUP:

Over the years, I have noticed myself sometimes breaking out after I wear makeup.

It’s not that I’m not removing it properly or that I’m not getting it all the way off -I ensure I take all of my makeup off properly and do my skincare before I go to bed!

With that said, I have discovered 3 ways my makeup is likely breaking my skin out.

And with those three causes, I have turned them into preventative measures listed below👇🏼:

1. Clean makeup brushes weekly

-I used to wait until I couldn’t fit any more product on my brushes before I would clean them. I know, so gross! Now, I make sure to clean them every WEEK with dawn soap.

2. If you use a sponge, wash it before each use, and after every month replace it with a new one.

-I would also go multiple makeup applications before ever squeezing a drop of soap onto my sponge to clean it. Now, I clean it every time I’m about to use it - game changer! And don’t forget to replace it with a new one after so many uses!

3. Make sure the makeup you use doesn’t contain any pore-clogging ingredients. You can check the ingredient list of each item online!

-The amount of makeup I discovered was actually breaking me out due to pore-clogging ingredients was so crazy and heartbreaking! I’m talking my FAVORITES were causing me to breakout💔 I switched them out and my skin loves me again!
