I feel like we always talk about the good habits you need to create, so let’s talk about some of the bad ones that I don’t recommend you get into the habit of.

1) forcing yourself to do exercises you don’t like: if you want to stick to some thing you have to enjoy it. There are so many different forms of movement that you can incorporate to reach your goals. You don’t need to do the same thing that everyone else is doing something that you truly enjoy and have fun with.

2) doing extra cardio to burn calories you ate: if you eat a cookie that is 200 calories that is not the same as burning 200 calories at the gym. Calories matter but so do ingredients and certain ingredients will affect your body differently. Enjoy the food you want to eat, but don’t punish yourself trying to burn those extra calories.

3) restricting foods/cutting carbs to lose weight faster: this is not sustainable, you need food and carbs to fuel your body. You can be smart about eating these foods without completely cutting them out if you cut them out completely chances are you’re not taking a sustainable route for weight loss.

These are three habits I once fell into, but can happily now say I’ve broken the habit. Don’t fall into these negative habits if you’re on your health and fitness journey.
