CP SERIES: Microneedling

My skin goal was to even skin tone and texture along with addressing fine lines around my eyes. My provider and I decided Microneedling would be beneficial for my skin!

Started the procedure by numbing my face for about 30 minutes. I could not feel my face by the end of the 30 minutes. The actual procedure did not take long, maybe 20-30 minutes. It did not hurt at all at the beginning. Once the numbing started to wear off, it started getting more uncomfortable but not unbearable.

After the procedure I was sooo itchy, especially on my neck! I wanted to scratch my neck so bad but could not. There was no pain after at all! My skin did get really red, but my skin gets red really easily so I’m not sure if that is the same for everyone. My skin was red the rest of the day but the next day it was back to normal!

I noticed results about 2-4 weeks after! They were subtle results, but I felt like my skin tone and texture improved and was glowing. I went back for another session and had really similar results.

It is important to keep up with a good skin regime given by your provider and SPF following. I had this done about three years ago. I know you are suppose to keep up with procedures each year to maintain results and I wish I would have because my skin definitely has texture and is uneven again.

I’m sure there is some collagen befits from the procedure that I can not see but, all and all, I would only personally recommend if you are going to keep up with your maintenance and skin care regimen.
